This article investigates the content of heavy metals (Cu, Ni, V, Cd, Zn) in reproductive organs Gorodkov’s rowan ( Sorbus gorodkovii Pojark.) growing impact zone environmentally hazardous facilities Murmansk (CHP plants, waste incineration plant and trade sea port). The samples most contaminated by were registered vicinity plant. High concentrations vanadium (4,2–4,8 mg/kg) Cu, Zn exceeding limits MPC are revealed CHP plants operating on fuel oil. Biomonitoring viability S. pollen showed that all samples, fertile grains was reduced compared to control. At test sites Central South proportion 35–41 % (compared 72 control sample). induced sterility more than two times higher spontaneous sterility. other toxic emissions Heating Plants have a gametocidal effect male gametophyte . Groups sterile selected according their size: dwarf, normal, or hypertrophied. In normal size decreased (62–69 %), whereas dwarf (16–18 %) hypertrophic (17.4–22.7 increased. Sterile mostly (63–70 %). results biomonitoring indicated polluted urban environment with metals, which caused sterilization gametes. To improve ecological situation Murmansk, it is necessary switch thermal stations for use natural gas.
